Case 1: SharePoint Modernization for a Life Sciences Company
Service: Project Management | SharePoint Modernization
Challenge:
The client, a life sciences company, faced an urgent need to modernize their SharePoint Online environment due to Microsoft’s announcement to discontinue support for classic SharePoint by 2026. The legacy environment included wiki-pages, InfoPath forms, and subsites, all of which would no longer be supported.
Solution:
We approached the project in five phases, based on site complexity:
- Low Complexity Sites: Migrated simple collaboration sites with minimal workflows to the modern experience.
- Medium Complexity Sites: Addressed larger teams with multiple document libraries and integrated Office 365 tools.
- Sites with Subsites: Migrated subsites to standalone sites, as modern SharePoint no longer supports subsites.
- High Complexity Sites: Handled highly customized sites with advanced workflows and complex permission setups.
- InfoPath & Workflow Modernization: Rebuilt all InfoPath forms and workflows using PowerApps and Power Automate, aligning them with the modern infrastructure.
Result:
The entire SharePoint environment was successfully modernized, increasing collaboration efficiency by 25%. The transition to PowerApps allowed for future-proofing workflows, and the company is fully prepared for the 2026 discontinuation deadline.
